Did you know Connecticut has a program that can help with breast and cervical cancer screening?

The Connecticut Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program provides free screening and diagnostic services to eligible Connecticut women through healthcare providers across the state.

The program serves about 5,000 Connecticut residents each year and has helped more than 80,000 people access care, including mammograms, Pap tests, HPV tests and other services.

Thanks to the efficient work from CDC and U.S. Food and Drug Administration officials, the Cyclospora outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce has officially ended. At this time, there is no risk of people getting sick with cyclosporiasis from this source.
