As schools start back up for the '26-'27 school year, buses will be running again. The speed limit is 25MPH or less within the Borough... Be more cautious and on the lookout for buses stopping to pick up students. If you are concerned with being delayed, *LEAVE EARLIER*, don't drive faster - and as a reminder, passing a bus with it's warning lights on carries severe penalties. "Don't be that person".

As students head back to school, do your part as a driver to obey traffic laws. When you encounter a school bus with its red lights flashing and stop arm activated, stop at least 10 feet away. See more school bus safety tips at bit.ly/PDT-Bus.

The combination of dry fine fuels, southerly wind gusts of to 20
to 30 mph, and relative humidity values as low as 20 to 35
percent will contribute to an elevated risk for fire spread
on Thursday for Northeast Pennsylvania.

Be sure to heed any local and state burning regulations.
