❤️ SHE’S SAFE! COMMUNITY, YOU DID IT! ❤️
There’s something truly special about what can happen when a community comes together for a common cause. Today, we get to celebrate one of those moments! 🥹🐾
As many of you know, a little brown Chihuahua has been roaming the streets of Laurel Bay for the past several weeks. So many wonderful people have been feeding her, keeping an eye on her, and trying their best to catch her. There have been plenty of attempts, but this little girl has proven to be quite the escape artist! 😂 She even has her very own page dedicated to her capture!
But today… WE GOT HER! 🎉❤️
With the help of some truly amazing people, we were finally able to safely contain her in a room, get her trapped, and bring her in. After weeks of worry, close calls, and determined efforts, this little girl is finally safe. And that is something worth celebrating!
Now, the next chapter begins. We’ll be getting her checked out medically, scanning for a microchip to see if she has a family missing her, and giving her time to decompress and become comfortable around people again. After spending so much time on the run, she deserves a little peace, patience, and a chance to feel safe. ❤️
We know there are already SO many people interested in adopting her, and trust us, we understand! Just look at that adorable little face! 🥰 But we kindly ask for your patience while we give her the time and care she needs. Before we can consider adoption inquiries, we need to make sure she’s been medically evaluated, we’ve made every effort to locate her owner, and she’s had time to settle in.
To everyone who called, messaged, shared posts, kept watch, offered food, and tried to help catch this little girl over the past several weeks — THANK YOU! 🙌❤️ Every single effort mattered, and this happy ending would not have been possible without people who cared enough to keep trying.
Today is a beautiful reminder that when a community comes together, incredible things really can happen.
Laurel Bay, you showed up for this little girl, and today, she’s safe. That’s what it’s all about. 🐾❤️🎉
