The 2026 theme, “Together for Parents,” reminds us that families thrive when they are supported by their communities. For breastfeeding families, encouragement, practical help, and connection can make all the difference.

At La Leche League Alliance, we believe no parent should have to navigate this journey alone.

When we show up for each other, we help create a culture where no one has to struggle alone.

A deep latch can make all the difference. Bring baby to you—nose to nipple—and let them tip their head back slightly. This encourages a wide open mouth and a more comfortable latch.

How did La Leche League begin? What started as a simple conversation between mothers grew into something that would change how families are supported around the world. From its beginnings in 1956 in Franklin Park to the global reach of La Leche League International today, the story of LLL is rooted in connection, shared experience, and support.
