So very cool to have a CSU school (Northridge, in this case) send me a poster announcing one of my alumni has joined their wind ensembles! Never had that happen in my 30 years of teaching! Congrats, Nat! They’re lucky to have you! I’m sure you’ll crush it there!

I am incredibly proud of my Symphonic Band and honored to be their teacher! Last night, on a Friday night, they performed at the Band Wagon Fall Music Festival at Analy High School. It’s been several years since they’ve been there…and they did a fantastic job! These students are each extremely special in their own right, and have worked together to make some pretty amazing music. Bravo, Symphonic Band, bravo… 👏🏻

Huge shout-out to the Casa Grande High School Jazz Ensemble for performing today for the 80th anniversary celebration of “Healthy Petaluma” at the Petaluma campus of Santa Rosa Junior College….OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN!!! The students were SOOO adaptable to the situation…I was almost in tears. Massive props to our keyboard/pianist for adapting to a tune with 7 pages of music that we’re getting soaked in the rain AND blowing in the wind! I absolutely LOVE these students! They performed against many hardships to help support their community! Love my Jazz Ensemble!!!
