Born on this day in 1715: Rev. Aaron Cleveland

October 29, Cleveland was a minister and the great-great-grandfather of President Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President of the United States.

Today, Rev. Cleveland rests in Christ Church Burial Ground, though his final resting place is unmarked. Not every remarkable story in our Burial Ground has a headstone to tell it. Make sure to take a tour with one of our educators for the stories that may otherwise go unnoticed! The Burial Ground is open daily from 11am - 5pm.

David Quixano, a young Jewish-Russian immigrant is composing a major symphony hailing the promise of America while falling in love with a Russian-Christian immigrant, Vera. But his dreams for his and America's future may be derailed when he encounters nightmares from his Russian past.

Zangwill's 1908 melodrama popularized the metaphor of America as a great "melting pot", a place where immigrants from all over the world come to mix together in the crucible of the country. In this fast-paced adaptation, Theatre Ariel and PAC come together at the end of America 250 to respond to the flames burning beneath our present-day crucible.
