Major Rebecca Galabeas is no stranger to the power and love of God through The Salvation Army. As an officer at the Plano Corps Community Center, she uses her position of leadership to not only instill the word of God into the community, but also inspire the next generation of women of faith.

This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the women who lead with compassion, strength, and unwavering faith at The Salvation Army. Visit salvationarmyntx.org/north-texas/celebrating-womens-history-month to learn more about Major Galabeas and the female officers who serve the community every day across North Texas.

Throughout history, U.S. presidents have recognized The Salvation Army's mission of service without discrimination.

In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower established National Salvation Army Week, praising our "dedication to human brotherhood." Since then, we have continued serving our North Texas community.

Happy President's Day!

Love can take many forms.

A warm meal when hunger feels hopeless.
A kind voice amid an internal battle.
A helping hand when all seems lost.

This Valentine's Day, let us remember that love isn't just a feeling — it's an action. Because of your generosity, communities across North Texas experience love in its most tangible form: a path from crisis to stability, from isolation to community, and from despair to hope.

Thank you for choosing love and Doing the Most Good.
