On the last day of our 2025-2026 League year, we want to celebrate our 49th President, Shun Thomas, Ph.D., for her outstanding leadership and dedication to the Junior League of Collin County.

Throughout her presidency, Shun has led with vision, purpose, and a servant’s heart. While carrying the responsibilities of the League’s highest leadership role, she also continued to serve alongside members on committees, offering guidance, support, and encouragement wherever needed.

Shun’s leadership has continually reminded us of the values that define who we are as an organization: service, respect, and leadership. Through her example, she has inspired us to serve others with compassion, lead with integrity, and treat one another with dignity and kindness.

Thank you, Shun, for your commitment to our mission, your dedication to our members, and your belief in the power of service. Your leadership has made a lasting impact on our League, and we are grateful for all you have done to move forward into the next 50 years.

Earlier this month, we gathered for our May General Membership Meeting and President’s Dinner. It was an evening filled with celebration, reflection, and gratitude.

Together, we celebrated an incredible League year and recognized the dedication, leadership, and service of our members who have worked to strengthen our community and support one another. It was a night to honor accomplishments, share memories, and reflect on the impact we have made together.

The evening also marked one of our most meaningful traditions: the passing of the gavel. As we thanked our outgoing President, Shun Thomas, Ph.D., for her vision, leadership, and commitment to the Junior League of Collin County, we proudly welcomed our incoming President, Amy Clendening-Wheeler. With her, we are looking forward to honoring our Legacy and reimagining our future.

We are grateful for the leaders who have guided us, the members who continue to serve with purpose, and the bright future before us. Here’s to another year of service, leadership, and lasting impact in our community. 💕

It was a wonderful morning celebrating the future of the Junior League of Collin County at our Sustainer Brunch honoring our New Members!

It was truly special to bring together Sustainers, Active Members, and New Members in one place for a time of connection, laughter, and celebration. Moments like these remind us of the strength of our League.

During our May General Membership Meeting & President’s Dinner, we were honored to celebrate our Past President’s Award recipient, Kelly Vaughan.

Kelly’s heart for service, dedication to others, and commitment to giving back truly embody the spirit of . She consistently leads with compassion, puts others before herself, and works tirelessly to make a positive impact within our League and throughout the communities that we serve.

Her leadership and servant’s heart inspire those around her to serve with greater purpose and intention. We are proud to have Kelly as a member of our League and grateful for the example she sets each and every day.

During our May General Membership Meeting & President’s Dinner, we were also proud to recognize the leadership and service of one of our incredible Sustaining Advisors, Susan Moore.

As the Sustaining Advisor to the Membership Event Planning Committee, Susan has generously shared her time, wisdom, and guidance to help support and strengthen our team throughout the year. Her encouragement, leadership, and commitment to the mission of continue to make a lasting impact on our members and our organization.

We are so grateful for Susan’s willingness to lead, mentor, and serve with such dedication. Thank you, Susan, for the care and guidance you provide and for helping our League continue to grow and thrive.

At , service extends beyond our members. It includes investing in community partners whose work changes lives every day. We are proud to support nonprofits that provide essential care and resources to vulnerable populations throughout the communities that we serve.

We were honored to present a Community Gift totaling $20,000 to City House 🏠, one of our valued community partners dedicated to serving abused, neglected, and homeless youth through comprehensive care, safe shelter, and pathways to independence and self-sufficiency.

This gift reflects our continued commitment to creating lasting, positive community change and standing alongside organizations that make a meaningful difference every single day.

We are grateful for the incredible work City House continues to do in our community and proud to support their mission of providing safety, shelter, and support to children, youth, and young adults.
