Dropped your phone between airplane seats? STOP before you adjust that seat lever! 🛑✈️

Modern airplane seats are packed with heavy gears, and crushing a phone’s lithium-ion battery can trigger a fire in mid-air.

3 quick rules for airborne phone safety:
1️⃣ Dropped phone? Don't move the seat. Ask a flight attendant for assistance.
2️⃣ Power banks? Keep them in your carry-on bag, never in checked baggage.
3️⃣ Charging? Don't leave your phone plugged in on a soft blanket or seat pocket where heat can't escape.

Safe travels from all of us at PGFPD! 🚒🚑

Laptops, phones, tools, e-scooters... we’re surrounded by rechargeable devices! 📱💻🔋

For National Fire Prevention Week, PGFPD wants to make sure you're powering up safely. Heat build-up and damaged cords are common causes of home electrical fires.

Did you know? Safe charging is a superpower! 🦸‍♂️⚡️

For National Fire Prevention Week, PGFPD is urging everyone to review how they charge their electronic devices.

Quick checks for today:
1️⃣ Are you charging on a hard, flat surface (not under a pillow or on a bed)?
2️⃣ Are you using the charger that came with your device?
3️⃣ Have you unplugged devices that are fully charged?

Small habits make a big difference.

⚡️ Charge into Fire Safety! ⚡️

It’s National Fire Prevention Week, and this year’s focus is all about smart charging habits! From smartphones and laptops to e-bikes and power tools, lithium-ion batteries power our daily lives but charging them improperly can pose serious fire risks.
