Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative We support educators and students in 26 districts in Central Arkansas. Service is our middle name!

Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative was established at UCA in 1984 along with 14 other Education Service Cooperatives in Arkansas (also known as ESC's). In 1988, we relocated to the former Plumerville School District building located in Plumerville, AR. We serve seven counties including Cleburne, Conway, Faulkner, Pope, Perry, Van Buren, and Yell Counties. Located within these seven counties, we serve 26 school districts (in 1985, there were 35 districts), 97 school buildings, about 4500 teachers and administrators and over 50,000 students. Our governing board is comprised of the serving school districts superintendents. We are one of the largest education cooperatives in the state of Arkansas and have a staff of approximately 350 full time employees.

West Side Elementary in the West Side School District has taken on The Learning Challenge, based on John Nottingham's work. Students and teachers have been learning all about growth mindset, and that landing in "The Pit" is a normal part of learning new information. Dr. Smith, principal at WSE, is is focused on building a common language for learning that will empower students to set their own goals, monitor those goals, and communicate their progress through the use of data notebooks and student led conferences. WSE also has a new space called "The Nest", where students are working on life skills and behaviors that help them achieve their goals. Mrs. Jones leads this space and also pushes into classrooms and shared spaces to support school wide behavior.
Challenge accepted! 🦅

📣 Preschool Directors! Are you ready to help your teachers build stronger connections, communicate with confidence, and create more positive classroom climates?

Sometimes, the smallest shifts in how we communicate can make the BIGGEST difference in how children respond! ❤️

Join us for The Power of the Assertive Voice: Building Connection, Clarity, and Confidence

, a short, practical learning opportunity designed to equip preschool leaders with strategies they can take right back to their teachers!

We’ll explore how moving from passive or aggressive communication to an assertive voice can help educators set clear expectations, strengthen relationships, respond more intentionally to challenging behaviors, and support the Emotional Support Domain of CLASS!

🐾🎉 Paws up! Archie is FIVE! 🎂🐩

Five years of wagging tails, wet noses, fluffy hugs, and spreading a whole lot of puppy love across the Arch Ford region! ❤️

Our favorite four-legged coworker has spent the last five years doing what he does best—bringing smiles, offering comfort, stealing hearts, and reminding us that sometimes the best support comes with four paws and a whole lot of fluff!

Archie takes his job of loving on educators, students, and school leaders very seriously…unless there’s a treat involved! 🐾😂

Happy 5th Birthday to our sweet Archie! Here’s to more tail wags, belly rubs, and making the Arch Ford region a little brighter, one paw print at a time! 🐩❤️

🏕️ Making Learning Visible at Danville! 📚
Danville Little Johns K–12 teachers joined System Support Specialist Jacob Sisson to explore Making Learning Visible, drawing on the research of Robert Marzano and John Hattie.

Teachers examined effect sizes and analyzed high-impact instructional strategies that can make a meaningful difference in student learning. The day focused on creating the conditions for learning, making learning visible, responding to evidence of learning, and working collectively to maximize impact.

Thank you, Danville Little Johns, for a great day of collaboration, reflection, and learning! 🌲🎯
