Port Ewen Volunteer Fire Department

08/31/2026

This year for 9/11 services we will be participating in a large scale ceremony hosted by Ulster Hose Fire Dept on 9/11. With this being 25 years since these horrific events took place an idea had been presented for the entire County to get involved for one large memorial. With this being said as we normally have our ceremony on 9/11, the ceremony hosted by Port Ewen FD will be moved to 9/12 at 6pm at the fire house. We encourage community participation in both events to honor and memorialize all lost on that day 25 years ago. We will resume having our memorial on 9/11 next year. Sorry for any inconvenience and we hope to see a large attendance for both events!

Thank you to Nothing But Love Canine Foundation for the donation of the Pet O2 mask. All of our apparatus are now equipped if needed for any future emergencies.

Last night, Val had the honor of meeting the incredible folks at the Port Ewen Volunteer Fire Department to deliver 5 pet oxygen masks 🐶🐱
These masks will ensure that all their trucks and the chief’s car are equipped with this vital lifesaving equipment — because our pets deserve help too.
My cameraman was off in Cabo, so I did this one solo… and honestly, I felt my mom with me the entire time.💜
Moments like this remind me why this work matters so much.
Huge thank you to the Port Ewen Fire Department for everything you do for our community — humans and animals alike. 🚒
If you aren’t keeping track we have paid forward 97 pet o2 masks with this program to date!
