We had a district-wide send-off for our Cardinal Pride Band this morning as they headed to San Antonio for the UIL State Marching Competition. Are we a little proud? Absolutely!

The band made its way from the Administration Building, past the Middle School and Elementary School, and through the High School parking lot before heading out of town. Students and staff were out cheering, and even community members lined the streets to wish them well!

This is what Cardinal Pride looks like. Our band has already given us so much to be proud of, and we wanted to make sure they knew it before they left.

Now go play your hearts out, CPB! Your entire community is cheering you on!

One Nest. Every Cardinal!

Haunted Halls has become such a fun tradition for our community! What started with FCCLA has grown over the years, with more student organizations joining in to make the event even bigger.

This year, students from FCCLA, Theatre, FFA, HOSA, Club America, and Band worked together to provide a fun and safe night of trick-or-treating for our community.

We love seeing our students and organizations come together to make events like this possible. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!

October is Principal Appreciation Month, and we couldn't let it pass without a special shoutout to the leaders of our campuses!

Being a principal isn't an easy job. There are long days, tough decisions, unexpected situations, and a whole lot of responsibility that comes with leading a school. On the other hand, there are also plenty of great moments along the way, and we appreciate these special people who show up every day ready to take it all on.

To our principals and assistant principals, thank you for EVERYTHING you put into our schools. We appreciate you and all you do for our Cardinals!

We can't wait to see all of our little Cardinals in costume tonight! It's going to be a SPOOKTACULAR evening at Haunted Halls!

The Pottsboro ISD Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on October 26, 2026.

We began the evening by recognizing our October Students and Teachers of the Month!

Middle School
- Student of the Month: Tate Patterson
- Teacher of the Month: Tiffany Lappin

High School
- Student of the Month: Maelyn Farrington
- Teacher of the Month: Jackie Deen

Mrs. Stephens also recognized our high school students who earned a 3 or above on last year's Advanced Placement (AP) exams. While many students were unable to attend, we are proud of all who qualified for college credit through their hard work. Congratulations to these students and their teachers for their commitment to academic excellence!

Following recognitions, the Board heard Campus Improvement Plans from Mr. LaRoche (Elementary), Mrs. Townsend (Middle School), and Mr. Ard on behalf of Mrs. Edwards (High School). Representatives from Gallagher and Huckabee provided a construction update, followed by the Superintendent's Report from Mr. DeMasters.

The Board then entered closed session with representatives from Impact Education Specialists to continue the superintendent search process. For the latest updates, visit our Superintendent Search page: https://app.smore.com/n/eh36qa

The November General Board Meeting will be held on November 16, 2026.

We encourage our community to attend and stay informed about what's happening across Pottsboro ISD!

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the ribbon cutting and open house of our newly renovated Administration Building. We heard from Interim Superintendent Rick DeMasters and Board President Scott Galyon before guests had the opportunity to explore the transformed space.

One of the best parts of the evening was hearing stories from former students and families as they walked the halls, reminisced, and tried to figure out where their old classrooms once stood. The memorabilia on display brought back even more memories and plenty of Cardinal pride!

This building has been part of our community for generations, and thanks to the continued support of our community, it has a new purpose. We are fortunate to be surrounded by a community that supports our schools and takes pride in being a part of Pottsboro ISD. Thank you for celebrating this special occasion with us!
