For Mrs. Kandi Bennett, one of the best parts of teaching is seeing the moment a student realizes healthcare could be the right path for them.

At Powell High School, she leads a 3-course healthcare pathway that gives students hands-on experience, introduces them to a range of medical careers, and helps them explore what comes next. From becoming a CNA to pursuing nursing or physician assistant programs, students can start building skills and discovering opportunities while still in high school.

With a growing need for healthcare professionals, these experiences can open doors well beyond the classroom. We’re glad to have Mrs. Bennett helping students connect what they’re learning today with the possibilities ahead.

Deep beneath the surface, a little imagination goes a long way. 🌊

Students in Mr. Gilman’s art class are bringing Deep Sea Legends to life, creating their own underwater world including a mermaid and a tiger shark. From developing the concept to adding the details that make each piece unique, students are turning their ideas into something they can see come to life.
