As chief psychologist at Bradley Hospital and a member of its Early Childhood Collaborative, Dr. Low has dedicated her career to advancing infant and early childhood mental health, supporting families, and expanding access to evidence-based services across Rhode Island.

What could the future of healthy aging look like?

Brown University and Brown University Health are launching the Starr Healthspan Innovation Alliance through a $37 million investment from the Starr Foundation.

The partnership will connect aging research at Brown with Brown University Health’s clinical trial network, helping move discoveries from the laboratory into hospitals and, ultimately, to patients.

A new NIH grant will support the next 5 years of work connecting research, health care, communities and patients across RI.

Since 2016, Advance Rhode Island Clinical and Translational Research has helped researchers turn scientific discoveries into solutions that can improve patients’ lives.

A partnership between Brown University, the University of Rhode Island, Brown University Health, Care New England Health System, the VA Providence Healthcare System, and community organizations, the investment will build on that work and strengthen Rhode Island’s clinical and translational research network.

With five years of renewed federal funding, a third phase of Advance RI-CTR will expand research innovation and collaboration to benefit people and patients in Rhode Island.

Congratulations to Dr. Patrick McGann of Rhode Island Hospital, named a 2026 American Society of Hematology ARCH recipient.

His research will focus on expanding access to newborn screening for sickle cell disease using point-of-care testing in Angola.
