Family Promise of Berks serves families & youth experiencing homelessness and individuals facing a housing crisis. Our door is always open!

Our programs focus on rapid rehousing, prevention, mediation, advocacy and coordination of services. At Family Promise of Berks County, we believe in
keeping families together and youth off the streets
while providing hope, a new beginning and
opportunities for change. Our mission to help families and youth experiencing
homelessness achieve sustainable independence
through a community-based response is made
possible through the help of caring partners and
individuals like you. We mobilize a wide network of volunteers to help us
deliver shelter, housing & supportive
services for a fraction of the cost of traditional

Through our Hospitality Network and Bridge House programs, Family Promise of Berks County provides families experiencing homelessness with transitional housing, meals, and case management as they work toward stable housing.

Family Promise extends our heartfelt gratitude to Cyndi Long Dimovitz as she concludes her term as Board President. We are incredibly thankful for Cyndi’s leadership, dedication, and commitment to our mission of helping families experiencing homelessness find stability and build a brighter future. Keeping a home can be difficult when unexpected expenses occur.

Family Promise of Berks County’s Rent & Utility Assistance Program helps eligible individuals and families facing financial challenges maintain stable housing by assisting with rent and utility bills when funding is available.

Every young adult deserves the opportunity to build a stable future.

Family Promise of Berks County’s U-Turn Program supports young adults aged 17–24 who are facing homelessness.

Through mentoring, life skills, and connections to education, employment, and housing resources, the program helps young adults work toward their goals.
