Many of these deaths are preventable if witnesses act quickly, but fear of legal trouble often gets in the way

Under the law, you are protected from arrest or prosecution for certain drug-related offenses if you seek medical help for someone experiencing an overdose

This immunity applies whether you are helping someone else or seeking help for yourself. Don't let fear stop you from saving a life!
