📣 UMA PARENTS & FAMILIES: HELP US SPREAD THE WORD! 🤼‍♂️🏀
We are looking for dedicated leaders to join our Cadet Athletic Department for our upcoming winter sports seasons! If you, a family member, or someone in your network has sports experience and a passion for mentoring student-athletes, we want to hear from you.
We currently have four paid stipend positions open at our Hill Field campus:

🤼 WRESTLING POSITIONS
🏆 Junior High Head Wrestling Coach ($1,500 Stipend) • JH Practice: M–TH: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM | Fri: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
🤼 JH / HS Assistant Wrestling Coach ($1,500 Stipend) • HS Practice: M–TH: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM | Fri: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
(Assists with both JH and HS practices and scheduled meets)

🏀 BASKETBALL POSITIONS
⛹️‍♂️ JH Boys Assistant Basketball Coach ($750 Stipend) • JH Practice: M–TH: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM | Fri: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
⛹️‍♀️ HS Girls Assistant Basketball Coach ($1,500 Stipend) • HS Practice: M–TH: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM | Fri: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

These positions are a fantastic fit for UMA parents, local military personnel/veterans coming off Hill AFB, or alumni looking to give back to young cadet athletes!

Utah Military Academy is excited to recognize Major Joshua Curtis, who was nominated and selected as the recipient of the One Kind Act a Day Teacher of the Month through Utah PTA!

One Kind Act a Day partners with Utah PTA to select a Kind Teacher of the Month each month and provide $500 for the winner to use in their classroom. Major Curtis is their October winner!

"Major Curtis was nominated by a parent who highlighted his thoughtful weekly emails that keep families connected, the food and supplies he purchases for students, and his involvement in school activities and student leadership. His nomination emphasized how these consistent acts of kindness help students feel supported, included, and valued."

We’re proud to have staff members who make a positive difference in the lives of our cadets and help make UMA a great place to learn and grow. Thank you for the kindness, care, and positive impact you bring to our school. We’re grateful to have you as part of the UMA family!

Friday 20 cadets participated in our quarterly service project at the HAFB museum, this time also including helping to clean their facility at Ogden airport. UMA has provided 1000s of hours of support to the museum since we opened.

These young men have represented UMA with pride, determination, and excellence throughout the season. Their recognition is a direct reflection of the hard work they put in every day and the culture our program continues to build.
This is another huge step forward for UMA Soccer and proof that hard work gets noticed. We couldn’t be more proud of these athletes and everything they have accomplished.
