It is so easy to feel overwhelmed or distressed right now, but I believe there is immense hope for our future and that hope starts with us! Voting isn't just about politicians, it’s a direct investment in the world we want to live in, from better schools and a healthier planet to fairer communities. Our votes are our power, and real change happens when we decide to use that power together.

We need your help this weekend! Despite encouraging early vote numbers, most people vote on Election Day, and this is our last chance to reach them. For GOTV weekend, we have canvassing and phone banking options available all over the county, with multiple shifts available both Saturday and Sunday.

Let's not be left wondering if more could've been done to produce better outcomes on Tuesday night. If you've been waiting to help out, get off the sidelines and volunteer for our candidates. We can do this together!

“Apparently, we’re calling this a tax cut for the working class.

So we fixed it for you.

When Congressman Marlin Stutzman celebrates “No Tax on Tips” and “No Tax on Overtime,” he’s leaving out some pretty important details.

Payroll taxes still apply. The overtime deduction doesn’t cover your entire overtime paycheck. And both tax breaks expire after 2028.

Meanwhile, the Congressional Budget Office’s analysis of the legislation found that the lowest-income Americans would lose resources while the wealthiest households would come out substantially ahead.

I’m all for working Americans keeping more of what they earn. But I also believe they deserve to know what legislation actually does, not just what politicians put in their Facebook posts.

A catchy slogan isn’t the same thing as good policy.”

🚨Join DeLong for DeKalb & I for our Butler town hall! Saturday, Oct. 24th at 9:30 in the Community Room at the Butler Library. All are welcome. 💙

After knocking on thousands of doors the last two months, there’s a few things I’ve learned while talking to voters. On both sides of the aisle, people are upset, struggling, and frustrated at our current leadership.

We’re tired of the corruption. We’re tired of the bills rising higher and higher with no end in sight. We’re tired of working full time and having to choose between our prescriptions and our electric bills. We’re just damn tired.

If you’re as tired as the rest of us, come talk. Share your stories, share your burdens. Because, thankfully, there are candidates on your ballot this year that want to listen, and want to address the issues that YOU care about.

Invite your friends, family and neighbors that are maybe still not positive who they’re voting for. Let’s talk.
