📱Dear Middle & High School Families,
As we continue through the school year, we want to remind families of our cell phone and personal device expectations to help students stay focused, engaged, and ready to learn.
During instructional time, students are expected to use district-issued devices for learning. Cell phones and other personal electronic devices must remain put away during class unless an approved accommodation is outlined in an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Plan.
Please review the expectations for your student’s school level:

‼️Middle School: Personal devices must remain stored from the first bell through the last bell.
‼️High School: Students may use personal devices during passing periods and lunch. During class, phones and other personal devices must be stored in locations designated by the school.

⌚️This policy also applies to smartwatches used for communication, AirPods, Beats, and other wireless headphones.
We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these expectations at home. Keeping personal devices put away during instructional time helps minimize distractions, supports student engagement, and allows teachers to focus on teaching and learning.
❓For additional information and frequently asked questions, please visit rps205.com/id-phone-device.
