Northland Drive is officially OPEN! 🎉
Crews worked around the clock during the temporary closure to install a brand-new pedestrian tunnel beneath the seven-lane roadway — and the road reopened several days ahead of schedule.
The tunnel is an important new connection in the growing Grand River Greenway, helping create a safer, more accessible regional trail system. The project also includes about a half-mile of new non-motorized trail along the east side of Northland Drive between 7 Mile Road and Cannonsburg Road.
Once complete, this connection will help link the South Rogue River Trail with future trail extensions along Cannonsburg Road and Pettis Avenue.
