Looks like I made the social media news! So here I go with my 5 seconds of fame to take the opportunity and share why I support YES ON MEASURE K!

Have I said the words that are on the AI produced flyer that is circulating? Absolutamente! (Like I said, I’d be remiss to not bring it up)

What I also shared, when making the statement, is that I would prefer the money leaving my wallet to stay in our city for our city. Currently the majority of your tax dollars do not stay specific in our city.

I also voted to have Measure K placed on the ballot and am in full support of local dollars staying local to our city. This measure will assist the incredible Rohnert Park staff in continuing to protect and serve Seniors, Young couples and Families!

You can find out more at

On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, registered voters within the City of Rohnert Park will be able to vote on Measure K—the Rohnert Park Financial Viability, Community Health/Safety Measure— which, if enacted, would establish a half-cent sales tax.

10/16/2026

Fact check: The City of Rohnert Park is not currently at the sales tax cap.

Measure K, the Rohnert Park Financial Viability, Community Health/Safety Measure, would ask voters whether to increase the sales tax to the state's legal limit, not beyond it, in Rohnert Park. If approved, Measure K would bring an estimated $5.5 million in locally controlled funding to the City each year for public safety, city services and parks.
_______
