🐾 A Special Blessing for Jet 🐾
Today, Jet had the opportunity to attend the Blessing of the Pets at our chapel and receive a very special blessing. ❤️🙏
As LUPD’s comfort dog, Jet brings a little extra joy, comfort, and companionship everywhere he goes, so it was especially meaningful to have him included in today’s blessing alongside the other beloved pets in our Lewis community.
We are grateful for the many ways our animals enrich our lives and remind us of the gifts of love, loyalty, compassion, and unconditional friendship. 🐾
And, of course, Jet was more than happy to accept a blessing—and all the extra attention that came along with it! 😂❤️
God bless Jet and all of the pets who make our lives a little brighter. 🙏🐾

💜 Angels Against Abuse 5K 💜
It was an honor for the Lewis University Police Department to take part in the Angels Against Abuse 5K, hosted by Groundwork, this past Saturday at Lewis University.
We were proud to join members of our community in supporting such an important cause and helping raise awareness about domestic violence and the resources available to those impacted by it.
Thank you to Groundwork, all of the participants, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the event possible. We are grateful for the opportunity to support an organization doing such meaningful work in our community. 💜
And apparently, all that community engagement was exhausting for Jet. 😂🐾💤

🐾 Campus Visit Day at Lewis University!
LUPD had a great time today welcoming prospective students and their families to campus! We enjoyed meeting so many future Flyers, answering questions, and sharing a little about how LUPD works to keep our campus community safe and welcoming.
Of course, Jet stole the show and made plenty of new friends along the way! 🐶💙
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello. Jet hopes to see you all back on campus very soon! 🐾✈️

We Will Never Forget – September 11, 2001
Yesterday, the Lewis University community gathered for our annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the first responders who answered the call that day.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the agencies and individuals who joined us and helped make this ceremony a meaningful tribute:
🎶 Joliet Police Department Pipes and Drums
🎺 Illinois State Police trumpet player
🚔 Will County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard
🚒 Romeoville Fire Department
🚔 Romeoville Police Department
Your participation brought great meaning and dignity to our ceremony, and we are grateful for your continued partnership and service to our communities.
More than two decades later, we continue to remember those who lost their lives, those who ran toward danger to help others, and the families whose lives were forever changed.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

👋🐾 SAY HELLO!
Jet is proudly sporting his “Say Hello” shirt and helping spread a simple message around campus: sometimes, a simple hello is all it takes to make someone feel seen, welcomed, and connected. ❤️
Whether you’re heading to class, walking across campus, or just having one of those days, don’t be afraid to say hello to someone new.
And if you see Comfort K9 Jet around campus, definitely stop and say hello — although fair warning… he may expect a few pets in return! 🐶💙

We were honored to be invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony for the Lewis University Student Senate! 🎓❤️
Congratulations to all of our newly sworn-in student leaders! We wish you a successful year as you represent and serve the Lewis University community.
And of course, Jet 🐾 was VERY excited to see everyone and make his rounds saying hello. We’re pretty sure he thought the invitation was actually for him. 😂💙
Congratulations, Student Senate! We look forward to a great year ahead!

🐾 Jet Had a Busy Day! 🐾
Jet had quite the schedule today! He started his day at the Fall Engagement Fair, where he made the rounds saying hello to students, getting plenty of attention. ⭐🐶
Oh yeah… Officer Geroulis, CSO Weitzel, and CSO Rivera were there too. 😂 We’re sure they helped.
After finishing his official meet-and-greet duties, Jet got back to work and helped with a Violence Prevention Training for an Introduction to Exercise Science class. 💙🐾
From building connections with our students to helping with important safety education, Jet continues to show that being part of the Lewis University Police Department means more than just wearing the badge.
Another busy day for K9 Jet #401! 🚔🐕‍🦺💙

It’s been a rewarding and exciting time as we kick off a new academic year! 🎓
New Sgt. Mark Atwood and GA Adeola Oloyede were busy attending New Employee Mission Orientation, followed by University Convocation as we officially welcomed the start of another academic year.

And as for Jet… well, he’s looking forward to the new academic year too. 😂 Don’t let him fool ya — apparently all that orientation and convocation wore him out! 💤🐾
