🦉 Today author and ornithologist David Grack visited Parkview third graders to kick off a year of birding. Students will learn about bird adaptations, go birding in ESTEM, and use the books they received all year to research Minnesota birds. At the end of the year, they’ll take those books home to keep exploring their new love of birds! 👀🌳✨

📸 Fall 2026 Photo Day was a success! Almost 800 students and staff had their pictures taken today. Not bad, Parkview!

was on full display during Fall Photo Day! Our 7/8 Grade Photo Buddies volunteered to walk our K–2 students to and from Photo Day and helped keep things moving throughout the day.

They made Picture Day just a little more fun and a lot less intimidating for our youngest students by fielding their random, weird questions and playing all the rock-paper-scissors! ✊✋✌️

We loved seeing our older students step up to help our school community!

📧 Photo proofs: Families should receive proofs by email tonight.
🛍️ Order photos: mylifetouch.com using Picture Day ID: EVTDJ6BXV
📸 Retake Day: November 11, 2026. Watch PCS Weekly News for the sign-up form.

What a fun day at Parkview! We welcomed bestselling author Aaron Reynolds, and our 1st–3rd graders were captivated by his storytelling and slightly creepy, very silly vibe! 👻😂

Aaron shared that he “went from being a kid who hated books to a grown-up who loves books” thanks to a 5th-grade teacher who read to his class every day. ❤️ A beautiful reminder of the lasting impact a teacher—and a good book—can have!

Students enjoyed a Q&A and read-aloud of Jasper Rabbit’s Creepy Tales: Yarn Is Everything!

A huge thank you to RedBalloon Bookshop for partnering with Parkview! 🎈📚

Want to meet Aaron? He’ll be at Red Balloon Bookshop tonight at 6 p.m.

🌳 Big Win for Roseville School Forests! 🌳

Parkview Center School and Harambee Elementary have received a $70,000 Minnesota Department of Natural Resources ReLeaf Grant.

This funding will help both schools maintain a healthy and diverse school forest. Plans include removing invasive species like buckthorn and Siberian elm, plus partnering with Tree Trust to plant 30 new trees on each campus.

Congratulations to the students, staff, and community for investing in a greener future! 🌱
