Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, as well as nine Community Based Outpatient Clinics, provides for the health care needs of the men and women who have proudly served our country. Lutz Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Saginaw consists of a single VHA facility with an independent Community Living Center (CLC). The VAMC provides primary and secondary medical services, ambulatory surgical services, outpatient social work, psychology and psychiatric services. Healthcare is provided through primary care and long-term care areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, dentistry, geriatrics and extended care. programs are also available to enrolled Veterans.

The Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center is reducing Urgent Care Clinic hours beginning January 9, 2027. Veterans who receive urgent‑care prescriptions through participating community pharmacies should bring a valid government‑issued ID, and no copay is required at pickup. Most prescriptions are limited to a 14‑day supply (opioids may be restricted further), with no refills, except for certain pre‑packaged items like inhalers or eye drops.

Please read the instructions noted on the flyer for what to do if you need care when Urgent Care is closed.

👻 Happy Halloween from the Saginaw VA! 🎃

The Recreation Therapy Department brought the Halloween spirit to our CLC inpatient Veterans with two spooktacular events this season! Veterans enjoyed a Trick-or-Treating adventure, making their way to 14 different stations and departments across the Saginaw VA to collect fun trinkets and treats along the way. The frightful fun continued with a Haunted Halloween Maze, complete with eerie lighting, creepy décor, and plenty of thrills!

A huge thank you to our staff who dressed up, decorated, and made these events a memorable treat for everyone involved. Here's to our Veterans and the smiles, laughs, and Halloween magic shared by all! 🦇
