We D.A.R.E. you not to smile watching Pattonville celebrate one of its favorite "knuckleheads."

Officer Bob is retiring after 32 years in law enforcement, including 26 with the Maryland Heights Police Department. For the past 20 years, he has served as a D.A.R.E. officer at Rose Acres Elementary, Parkwood Elementary School and Academy of Innovation at Re*****on, making a difference in the lives of countless students.

Rose Acres celebrated his final day with several surprises throughout the day. Watch how the celebration wrapped up, including a behind-the-scenes look at principal Dr. Adam Crnko and Darren the Lion surprising him during a fifth grade D.A.R.E. lesson, followed by a police es**rt around the school's circle drive. Students lined the sidewalk to cheer him on and hand him signs and posters they had made to celebrate his retirement. Members of the police and fire departments also joined in the celebration.

Officer Bob officially retires today. Thank you for your years of service and dedication to Pattonville students along the way.
