Jacob Lamberson - Charged With Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material - Appears to Be on Interim Probation, Not Due Back in Court Until May 2027
SCS Operator 1
On June 18th, 2026, Jacob Lamberson of Salamanca, Cattaraugus County, was arrested and charged with Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a felony. Court records list the date of the underlying incident as October 25th, 2023, more than two and a half years before his arrest. Court records list him as Jacob M. Lamberson, born in 1980. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.
His case is proceeding in Cattaraugus County Court by Superior Court Information, which means he waived his right to a grand jury indictment and the district attorney filed the charges directly, a step typically taken when a plea agreement has been reached.
His next court appearance is not until May 3rd, 2027, and is listed as an "interim review." In New York, an interim review typically means a defendant has pleaded guilty and been placed on interim probation, a period of up to a year during which sentencing is delayed and the final outcome depends on his behavior during probation.
Because Jacob Lamberson has not yet been sentenced, he is not expected to appear on the New York State s*x offender registry until his case is resolved.
NYSPA will update this report as the case moves through court.
