As we recognize Weatherization Day on October 30th, CCA decided to celebrate a day early!

I was honored to present CCA - Connecting Communities in Action CEO Andrew Studley and CCA’s Assistant Director of Energy & Housing Corey Fuller, with a NYS Assembly Citation recognizing the 50th Anniversary of CCA’s home Weatherization Assistance Program. This is a great program that helps folks remain in their homes safely and comfortably while reducing their energy use and costs. CCA was honored to welcome Assemblyman Joe Sempolinski and George Fillgrove, representing Senator George Borrello's Office, to last night's Board of Directors meeting as we celebrated 50 years of Weatherization.

As part of the recognition, both the Assemblyman and Senator's offices presented proclamations commemorating this important milestone and acknowledging the lasting impact Weatherization services have had on families and communities throughout our region.

The Board and guests also received a presentation from Corey Fuller, Assistant Director of Energy & Housing, who shared the history of CCA's Energy and Housing programs, the growth of our current four-county service area, and the future vision for these vital services.

For five decades, Weatherization has helped households reduce energy costs, improve energy efficiency, and create safer, healthier homes. We are proud of this legacy and grateful for the partnerships and support that continue to make this work possible.

We're grateful to our partners at Count On CCB for hosting a food drive to support local food pantries this holiday season. Donations collected at the Salamanca branch will help stock CCA's Food Pantry and provide support to local families in need. CCA would like to thank all of the families, community partners, and of course our amazing staff for joining us at our first Halloween Trunk or Treat! While the weather didn't quite cooperate, the turnout was fantastic and it was great to see so many families come together for a fun evening. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success.
