Your voice. Our community. Our future. 💙

Connection starts with an invitation—and your perspective can help shape what comes next for Chaffee County youth.

CCYA’s Community Action Plan (CAP) is open for public comment October 5–16. Here’s how to participate:

📖 Read the plan: Visit the CCYA webpage and open the CAP materials for public review.

💬 Share your feedback by October 16: Consider the reflection questions and follow the posted submission instructions. What feels important? What’s missing? What would make these priorities stronger?

🤝 Personally invite one person to comment: A teen, neighbor, parent, or community partner may see something you don’t. Try: “Your perspective would help shape this work. Would you take a look and share what you think?”

Read it. Reflect. Respond. Bring someone into the conversation.

Va**ng can quickly become more than an occasional choice. Recent research found that among teens who currently v**e, daily use nearly doubled between 2020 and 2024—and more daily users reported trying to quit without success.

Young people deserve facts, practical skills, and support without judgment. Through weekly after-school Project TND sessions, Chaffee County FYI helps students learn about the effects of substance use while strengthening decision-making, coping, and goal-setting skills.
