Last Friday, we hosted our Annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon at the Magoffin County Extension Office in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and what a wonderful day it was! 💗 Our program was filled with beautiful pink decorations, delicious food, valuable information, and an amazing turnout from our incredible community.
One of the most special moments of the day was recognizing and honoring 16 strong and courageous breast cancer survivors. Their strength and resilience remind us all of the importance of hope, support, and community. 💕
We were also honored to welcome Doretha Pridemore, RN, from the UK King's Daughters Breast Care Center, who shared important information about breast cancer screenings and the life-saving importance of early detection.
We were especially grateful to have the UK King's Daughters Mobile Mammography Unit on-site for the day. Thanks to this wonderful service, 8 women were able to receive breast cancer screenings right here in Magoffin County, without having to travel to another county for a mammogram. Bringing these services closer to home makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our community members! 🎀
An event like this would not be possible without the generosity, support, and hard work of so many wonderful people and organizations. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to:

Together, we are building a stronger, healthier, and more supportive Magoffin County.
