Welcome to the 2026–2027 Math Challenge Program.
Hello everyone,

We are super excited to welcome you all to Math Challenge #1 and to kick off the 2026–2027 school year! This program is designed to help students think critically, explore different problem‑solving strategies, and build confidence in mathematics.

Attached is the Math Challenge #1 PDF.

Students only need to attempt some of the questions (3, 7, or 12 out of the 15—depending on their grade level). There is no pressure to get every answer correct. Our goal is to make math fun, flexible, and accessible for all students.

At the end of the year, any student who completes at least 12 Math Challenges will receive special recognition. In previous years, we’ve awarded individualized medals, and we plan to do something similar again. This program is open to kids of all ages and abilities, and they are welcome to work independently or with friends, parents, siblings—anyone who makes learning enjoyable.

“Due” date:
Thursday, October 22nd
(All challenges except the final one have soft due dates—students can catch up anytime.)

Turning it in:
There is a submission box located right underneath the Whinny Box. Students may place their completed challenge there or submit it to their classroom teacher.
Please make sure their name and grade are written neatly on the sheet.

THANK YOU MEAD COMMUNITY!
We’ve finally wrapped up the MEAD STAMPEDE: Bubble Blast annual fundraiser with our celebratory FUN RUN on Oct.2nd, and we’ve finished tabulating all the data and have our results! While we didn’t quite meet our $70,000 goal we came awfully close with $65,289 and are confident we’ll be able to make a difference at Mead this year. It is always amazing to see our community’s commitment to our school. The Mead PTSA sincerely appreciates your support and generous donations. It is thanks you, we are able to continue in our mission to support and work alongside Mead Parents, Teachers, and Students with the goal of enriching, enhancing and supporting the education process at our school.
