Last Thursday, The Destroyers performed as part of the “Concerts at the Cove” Summer Series at Solana Beach.

This concert series provides families the opportunity to enjoy a variety of musical styles while enjoying a sunset on the beach.

On Wednesday, the Harborside Brass Quintet performed alongside the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Training Squadron Band and Kearny Mesa Concert Band in the 2026 International Friendship Concert, strengthening relationships both within the San Diego community and abroad! 🇺🇸🇯🇵🎶

This summer, Navy Music is celebrating 200 years of the musician rating, projecting a positive image at home and abroad, preserving the nation's musical heritage and inspiring the next generation of Sailors. ⚓️🇺🇸

Please join us in congratulating Musician Third Class Matt Fitzsimmons on completing a successful tour here at Navy Band Southwest!
MU3 Fitzsimmons served as a trumpet instrumentalist at the band from 2021-2026 and his musicianship, dedication, and hard work will be greatly missed.
We wish MU3 Fitzsimmons all the best as he begins his transition back to civilian life and thank him for his service!
