Cenk Uygur is 100% correct. Dead on. This interviewer fully implied that he's 'anti-Semitic', and given Uygur's Turkish Background and reputation as an atheist, her implication reveals her own biases. She willfully conflated ZIONISTS with Jews, and that is a fundamentally bigoted and 'anti-Semitic' act, because Zionism will be relegated to the dustbin of history, just as N***s were, and equating Jews with Zionists will cause innocent Jews to be punished for the sins of Zionists. I should like to ask her exactly WHAT particular thing is "conjured" when you say that Israel is buying the U.S. Congress? Because her implication is that it conjures a trope of wealthy Jews secretly controlling the economy, media, and politics in the background, a trope mainly spread by N***s and White Supremacists (known anti-Semites), which implies Cenk to be 'anti-Semitic', which is an outrageous slander of Cenk Uygur, and he could sue for Libel under U.S. Laws.

If American Jews want to donate to the American-Israeli Political Action Committee (AIPAC) it is NOT "perfectly acceptable", it is a religious corruption of our politics in the U.S.A.; it may have been legalized by the Supreme Court, but it is unethical prima facie. What she is doing is conflating American Jews with American ZIONISTS, people who openly advocate for a Jewish Nation, a Theology, and willingly subvert our U.S. Government to support and fund that Nation against the interest of Americans, and supporting the GENOCIDE of Palestine.

Why is this LBC appoligist defending British suppression of free speech to glaze Israel? I don't know. Cenk Uygur is dead on when he calls her out as a Zionist bigot defending unethical behavior. The genocide of Palestine has been condemned by UNHCR and ICJ, and the IDF and its leaders will be held to account by the International Criminal Court (ICC) as they make indictments and declare the apartheid state of Israel committing the ethnic cleansing, starvation, and extermination of Palestinians under their control.

Britain has proven it is controlled by Israel's $. Defending their move to ban people who speak against Zionist Genocide of Palestine is unethical and will be on the wrong side of history. The genocide in Gaza is worse than the one in Cambodia or Rwanda, even worse than the Holocaust in 1930's Germany, because Israel was supposed to have learned the lessons of history.

Gram Platner seems to want to claim that he was stupid enough to join the Army during a war, get a hate tattoo, join a private military contractor to provide 'security' (i.e. KiII People) for money, yet he should be the one to represent the common citizens. Frankly, he's the smartest communicator I've seen in years, but the $$$$$$$$ against him is of global proportions. Even this NPR interviewer seems to be trying to hit him with every stupid question the opposition research could feed her. (Note: NPR was defunded by the Republicans but is funded by the Democratic National Committee)

We need better leaders. I've been saying that for years, unwilling to lead myself, because I'm not like Platner. I successfully avoided the wars; I went to college; I think things through rationally before making decisions; I am not willing to sacrifice my life for the common citizens, because I consider myself to be smarter and ethically better than them. I would never have made the mistakes a person like Gram does: no tattoos, no wife, no kiIIing, no war. I'm simply a better person, because I had the imagination and wisdom to judge the world BEFORE I could make those mistakes. I'm curious why anyone would be dumb enough to expose themselves to the kind of questions that this interviewer asks him. Why even patriotic jingoists would put themselves through this system of political self-destruction?

I guess you might argue that he's brave, or living his life in public service. The difference between courage and foolishness is easy to define: if you fully understand all the consequences of your actions, and still go forward, you can be brave ... or ambitious. I'm sure I could find plenty of ambitious people in Washington D.C. I don't think I could find very many good people. Gram Platner seems to be a good person, even if naive, uneducated, and so passionate as to be impulsive. I'm not sure he knows the consequences of what he's doing, if he's being honest, or if, as he changes, he will survive the journey. But given our options, at least he can communicate the correct values and is willing to put his life on the line again. Perhaps he is brave?

BREAKING: JUSTICE! An ICE agent who shot a man, lied about it, and fled the state has finally been arrested.
Christian Castro is in custody at last.
It took Minnesota prosecutors, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Texas Rangers, and the DHS Inspector General to make it happen — because ICE, the agency Castro worked for, spent months defending him and attacking the people trying to hold him accountable.
Here's what the evidence shows.
On January 14th, Castro was chasing Alfredo Aljorna through Minneapolis when Aljorna ran into his home. Castro fired a bullet through the front door of an occupied residence, wounding Aljorna's roommate, Julio Sosa-Celis, in the leg. That night, Castro told investigators he had fired in self-defense after being beaten for several minutes with a shovel and a broom by three men.
Based entirely on Castro's account, federal prosecutors charged Sosa-Celis and Aljorna with assaulting a law enforcement officer.
Then the surveillance footage emerged. A Minneapolis police camera captured the entire encounter. It lasted approximately 12 seconds. There was no prolonged beating. Castro's story fell apart, the charges against the two Venezuelan men were dropped, and prosecutors concluded Castro had not only shot an innocent man but filed a false police report to cover it up.
ICE's response when Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty charged Castro this month? The agency called the charges "unlawful and nothing more than a political stunt."
A political stunt. That's what ICE called holding their agent accountable for shooting a man and lying about it under oath.
Castro was placed on leave and apparently decided that escaping to Texas was preferable to facing justice in Minnesota. He was tracked down by state investigators and arrested Friday morning with the Texas Rangers and DHS's own inspector general present for the takedown.
Castro is the second ICE agent charged by Moriarty's office for conduct during Operation Metro Surge. The other, Gregory Donnell Morgan Jr., was charged with assault for pointing a gun at motorists on a highway. He also has an active arrest warrant.
Moriarty called Friday's arrest "a critical step forward." It is also a demonstration that accountability for federal agents is possible — even when their own agency fights it every step of the way.
