Sangerville Town Hall Restoration Update! 🏛️✨
We have exciting news to share regarding our progress on the Sangerville Town Hall grant application and fundraising efforts!
Since launching our local fundraising drive in July, the community support has been incredible. Thanks to an extraordinarily generous $50,000 anonymous donation to the Sangerville Historical Society, our matching fund total has reached $79,065.75!
This brings us well over halfway toward our $125,000 matching goal needed to unlock the maximum $500,000 grant application for the Town Hall restoration.
During our recent working session at the Fire Station, we finalized key application details, including:
* Highlighting the strong community backing from residents who voted to pass the $400,000 line item dedicated to Town Hall renovations.
* Showcasing local momentum, including coverage in The Observer and the dedicated work of 11 volunteers who logged 32.45 hours cleaning out the Town Hall!
* Locking in professional engineering oversight alongside our local committee experience.
Our application will be submitted later this month ahead of the October 23rd deadline.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered, donated, and supported this effort to revitalize our historic Town Hall—we couldn't do it without this community!
Stay tuned for more updates! ❤️

For those of you who purchased one of our historical books, there are some corrections to be made. On Page 11 in the author's note it should read the "town's 175th anniversary book."

In the Chapter featuring mills, the spelling of one of the mills was reversed. It should read Dumbarton Mill not Dunbarton Mill.

Thank you for supporting the Sangerville Historical Society.
