The 24-HOUR GIVING CHALLENGE is happening RIGHT NOW. Please consider donating.

The Giving Challenge is the principal way we raise the $18,000 we need each year to host the Shop with a Cop event in December with public housing children, their families and Sarasota Police.
Please take advantage of this unique giving opportunity. During the Challenge, thanks to the Patterson Foundation match described below, your contribution is doubled:

2. Donating $50 = $100
3. Donating $100 = $200

The 2026 (24-Hour) Giving Challenge is upon us, today April 15 to April 16, 2026, from noon-noon.

Funds raised by Sarasota Housing Authority (through its 501c3 affiliate the Sarasota Housing Funding Corporation) will go directly to purchase gift cards for the children to shop with a Sarasota Police Officer for holiday presents at SHA’s Annual Shop with a Cop Event. The event serves to build community and mutual respect between law enforcement and SHA’s children and families.

All donations, from each unique donor, up to $100 will be matched (doubled) through the generosity of The Patterson Foundation!
