Local Fire Alarm Contractor in St Mary’s GA using an old sprinkler monitoring panel(1) (used) to trip a relay in a Access Control power Supply (2) that doesn’t supervise the NAC circuits. Tied to a dialer (3). I just happened to walk in because the building owner didn’t trust what was being done to break this suite off from the main fire alarm. All three panels were installed that morning where some monitor modules and a NAC module used to be. The fire marshal was on site to test and I had to explain to him why this was oh so wrong. Apparently the company is trying to get 5 monitored systems in a strip mall where one used to serve the purpose. The stick built common attic with no fire wall building was a target for this stupidity. The biggest issue I had was with used sprinkler monitoring panels with only a bell circuit. Even the batteries were used.
