Today at 12:00pm, join the Schroon Lake Public Library to watch the documentary "Remake." There will be hot coffee, cookies, and more delicious refreshments made possible by support from Mountain Lake PBS and their documentary showcase program, POV.

"Remake" unrolls the many clips of film that Ross McElwee captured of his family across decades. The documentary explores McElwee's grief after the passing of his son and his relationship to the hours of footage of his son and family. You can watch the trailer for "Remake" below at the link.

"Remake" is a part of a documentary series being hosted at local libraries in the Clinton Essex Franklin Library System. Each month a new documentary is shared with your community. Check back in next month for more information about the next documentary, "Arrest the Midwife" on November 17th.

BookTalk by Author Bethany Adams on Thursday October 8th at 5:00 PM in the Library Community Room.
She is presenting her book Unsupported: A story of moving fast and letting go – Setting a speed record in the Adirondack Mountains" (2026)
Bethany will be talking about the process of hiking the 46 High Peaks, her supplies and experiences, and reflections now that she's off the mountain.
Refreshments will be served.
