Mrs. Williams and Ms. Smith’s English I students visited SCETV in Columbia to learn about media production, explore SCETV’s educational programs, and see how media informs and engages audiences. Students will apply what they learned to their final Romeo and Juliet media project as they wrap up Unit 3.

Thank you to SCETV for hosting our Warriors and providing such a valuable learning experience! Thanks to Mr. Brockington and Mrs. Meyer-Abadia for chaperoning, and Mr. Simmons for getting our Warriors to Columbia and back safely! 💜💛

Los alumnos de Inglés I de la Sra. Williams y la Sra. Smith visitaron SCETV en Columbia para aprender sobre producción audiovisual, explorar sus programas educativos y observar cómo los medios informan e involucran al público. Our weekly 🌟 Warrior Wellness 🌟 message in collaboration with MUSC Children's Health is ✨ Eat Proteins! ✨

Protein is the “building block” nutrient that our bodies need to build and maintain strong muscles. Kids and teens need about 2 servings of protein a day. Some examples of a serving of protein include one egg, one tablespoon of peanut butter, or one piece of meat that is the size of a deck of cards.

La proteína es el nutriente "bloque constructor" que nuestros cuerpos necesitan para formar y mantener músculos fuertes. Niños y adolescentes necesitan aproximadamente 2 porciones de proteína al día.
