The Frank Melville Memorial Park was constructed in 1937 in memory of Frank Melville Jr.

The Park encompasses twenty-four acres of woodlands, nature trails, pond & much more!

It’s flying season for our young swans! 🦢

From August through October, the cygnets at Frank Melville Park are learning to fly. They’re getting stronger every day, but steering and landing can still be a bit of a challenge.

That means one of our babies may unexpectedly turn up in a yard, garden, driveway, local street, or even take a stroll down Main Street.

If you spot a young swan in the Setauket, Old Field, Strongs Neck, Stony Brook or surrounding area, please let us know. Even if the swan appears okay, we’d like to know where our youngsters have landed so we can check on them and make sure they’re safe.
