Please join us in congratulating our newest, awesome White Ropes of the Week, A1C LaMore and AB Barnes! Here’s what they had to say about themselves.
📣 What is your name and rank? A1C Christian LaMore.
Where are you from? Crittenden, Kentucky.
Where are you going? Spangdahlem, Germany.
What made you join the Air Force? I've wanted to serve the Country for a long time. My grandfather would tell us grandkids that if we were ever to join the armed forces: 'Join the Air Force'. That's what sparked my interest in the Air Force specifically. Ultimately it was a matter of prayer, asking GOD for His direction and wisdom to guide me.
What is your AFSC? 2A334C - Which means that I get to be an avionics specialist for F-16s.
Why did you join the White Rope Program? It's cool to look back on it now. When I first arrived at Sheppard, during the first briefings, I just started writing down goals for my time here at Sheppard:
1. To glorify the one true and living GOD.
2. To study hard and learn as much as I can.
3. To stay in peak physical condition.
4. To establish valuable relationships and a networking system.
5. To increase and develop leadership skills.
I didn't realize it at the time, but the White Rope Program was the very thing that GOD would use to help me accomplish these goals.
What is a fun fact about you/hobby you enjoy? I'm 33 years old, have been married to my wife, Sarah, for 10 years, and we have three children. I really enjoy reading, playing ping pong, fishing, hiking, running, and building things.
📣 What is your name and rank? AB Tristen Barnes.
Where are you from? I am from Shreveport Louisiana.
Where are you going? I am going to Dyess AFB, Texas.
What made you join the Air Force? I was tired of feeling stuck in my civilian life and decided I was ready for a change. I really enjoy being able to make a change in other people’s lives and the communities I’m apart of.
What is your AFSC? Heavy aircraft integrated avionics, 2A9X4.
Why did you join the White Rope Program? I really enjoy helping out my community, and the White Rope Program really stuck out to me as the best way to do that. I love the mission of this program and out of all the ropes it’s really the one I felt the strongest connection with.
What is a fun fact about you/hobby you enjoy? Before going to BMT I lived in a town with only 371 people in it.
Congratulations, A1C LaMore and AB Barnes! We are so proud of y’all!!!
