CCTC serves high school students from ten high schools in Caddo Parish. CCTC offers 25 programs which enable students to become college and career ready.

Caddo Career & Technology Center, the technical and career education extension of Caddo Parish high schools, serves as a remote campus of area high schools to provide hands-on experience in two-hour blocks of instruction. After high school, many students choose to continue their education in four-year colleges and universities, two-year technical and community colleges, apprenticeships, or enter the workforce as full-time employees. Through the involvement of key corporate and school leaders working with teachers and administrators, Caddo Career & Technology Center is working to deliver a world-class workforce.

Ever wonder how raw blocks of metal are transformed into precision parts, custom engine components, and intricate mechanical designs? Welcome to the Machine Shop program at CCTC!

Whether you're looking to start a high-demand career in advanced manufacturing, CNC programming, and machining, or you just love working with your hands to build things from scratch, this is where it all starts.

Here is a quick look at what you’ll master in class:

-Conventional Machining: Get hands-on experience operating industrial engine lathes, vertical milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses.
-CNC Technology: Learn computer numerical control programming to run cutting-edge machinery with microscopic accuracy.
-Blueprint Reading & Precision Measurement: Master micrometers, calipers, and engineering schematics to ensure every cut is exact.
-Real-World Problem Solving: Build confidence tackling real machining projects from raw stock to finished product.

Congratulations to Michelle Lindholm, our Media Arts Instructor on her first place win in the Gordon McKernan billboard contest! Her design was inspired by the beloved cartoon, Scooby Doo.

She has won a $1000 prize, mini billboard and swag bag! Additionally, Gordon McKernan will donate $1000 to the CCTC media arts fund. This generous donation will go to help future designers and media art students have the tools and resources they need to succeed. Thank you, Gordon McKernan for supporting the art and hard work of graphic design.

Ever wonder where a hands-on education from CCTC can take you? Today, we’re shining a spotlight on one of our incredible Architectural Design & Engineering Graphics alumni, Virlyn Bangcot, a 2023 Caddo Magnet graduate.

After mastering Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software right here at CCTC, Virlyn turned her sights toward her future. Today, she is studying architectural design at Louisiana Tech University.

We caught up with Virlyn to hear how her time in the program shaped her journey!

Today, we rolled out the red carpet (and the food!) for some incredible students who went above and beyond!

We threw a pizza party for our students with PERFECT ATTENDANCE! Thank you for showing up, showing out, and being here every single day.

And the celebration didn't stop there! We also had a popcorn party along with a chance to win a gift card to honor the students with the HIGHEST ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT in each of their classes.

Your hard work, late-night studying, and dedication to learning are truly paying off!
