Sleepy Hollow Police Department - IL Welcome to the Official page of the Sleepy Hollow (IL) Police Department. We always strive to help and communicate with the community we serve.

We do not give out police patches as we are a small Department and the demand is quite high for the patch. We would love to share them but it is just fiscally feasible.

Another safe Halloween in the Hollow. Thanks to all who remembered these important safety tips:

• Stay Visible: Wear light-colored clothing or add reflective tape and glow sticks to costumes and candy bags.

• See Clearly: Use non-toxic face paint instead of masks that can block peripheral vision or trip hazards.

• Walk Safely: Stick to sidewalks, use crosswalks, look both ways before crossing, and avoid cutting across yards, alleys, or between parked cars.

• Use a Flashlight: Have someone in the group carry a working flashlight.

• Go with a Group: Young children should always be accompanied by a parent or trusted adult.

• Inspect Treats: Check all candy at home before eating it, and discard any open, unwrapped, or suspicious items.
