Please avoid the area of Concord Road towards The Covered Bridge due to a heavy police presence as officers investigate a serious-injury vehicle crash.

Expect traffic delays and possible detours. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes whenever possible.

Please be advised that Dobbins Air Reserve Base is conducting routine training this morning. Residents in the surrounding area may hear sirens and voices over loudspeakers during the exercise.

We have been notified that this is a scheduled training exercise and that activity is expected to continue through this afternoon.

There is no need for concern. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our military partners conduct their training.

MPO Edwards exemplifies professionalism, leadership, and dedication through his work in the Uniform Patrol Division. As a Field Training Officer, SWAT operator, and Honor Guard member, he consistently goes above and beyond to support the department and serve the community.

Anna has demonstrated exceptional leadership and attention to detail in managing the Property and Evidence Unit at the Smyrna Police Department.

Thank you, Smyrna, for another fantastic year of family fun, creativity, and amazing costumes at our annual Crafts and Drafts Costume Contest!

We had an incredible turnout and saw so many creative, fun costumes. We loved seeing families come together to celebrate the season and make lasting memories with our community!

We also appreciate everyone who shared suggestions and feedback. Because of your input, we're excited to announce that we will be adding a FAMILY category to next year's contest!

We look forward to seeing you all again next year at the same time and place for another spooktacular celebration!

Training After Dark: Low-Light Fi****ms Training

Last week, several Smyrna Police Department officers participated in our annual Low-Light Fi****ms Training, an opportunity to sharpen their skills and continue developing proficiency in nighttime and low-light shooting scenarios.

Ongoing training helps our officers strengthen their skills, build confidence, and prepare for the unique challenges they may encounter while serving our community in varying lighting conditions.

News Release: Homicide Investigation Update

We are asking for your assistance. All information can remain anonymous.

On July 28, 2026, Smyrna Police began investigating a murder. The suspect was identified as 19-year-old Trey Webb, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was captured in Smyrna on October 8, 2026.

As part of the investigation, detectives gathered the attached pictures, showing a young male who was with Webb both before and after the July 28 shooting. That man has not been identified. He is believed to have information about the case.
