🎃🐐 DON’T TOSS THOSE PUMPKINS! OUR FARM ANIMALS WOULD LOVE THEM! 🐷🐓❤️

Halloween is over, and if you’re wondering what to do with those pumpkins sitting on your porch, Happy Hearts Farm & Sanctuary would love to take them off your hands! 🎃

Our goats, pigs, and chickens would be more than happy to help with your post-Halloween pumpkin cleanup! 😂❤️

We’re looking for whole, uncarved, unpainted pumpkins that are still fresh and free of mold or rot. Please, no candles, glitter, chemicals, or decorations.

Instead of letting those pumpkins go to waste, give them a second purpose and help us provide some yummy enrichment for our farm animals!

📍 We’re located in Snohomish, WA.

💌 Send us a message if you have pumpkins you’d like to donate, and we can coordinate drop-off!

Thank you for thinking of our animals! 🧡

Oh my goodness, look at this sweet little face! 🥹❤️

I was out doing my evening feeding tonight when I spotted this tiny little opossum. Of course, I had to stop and watch for a bit. It’s these unexpected little moments that make my heart so happy. 🥰

Opossums really are such misunderstood little creatures. They’re North America’s only native marsupial, they help keep insects and other pests under control, and despite those little teeth, they’re usually more scared of us than we are of them. ❤️

I just love knowing that our little sanctuary is a safe place for wildlife to wander through, too. Every creature, big or small, deserves a little kindness. 💕

Just had to share this sweet little visitor with you all! 🐾🌙

🐾❤️ Costco Dog Food Run! Can You Spare a Few Dollars? ❤️🐾

We’re getting ready to load up and head to Costco to stock up on dog food for our rescue pups! 🐶

With so many hungry mouths to feed here at Happy Hearts, we go through one 40-pound bag of dog food every TWO days! 😳 That’s approximately 15 bags a month, at almost $40 per bag!

It adds up quickly, and dog food is one of our biggest ongoing expenses.

❤️ If you can spare $5, $10, or even help purchase a bag, every single dollar makes a difference! No amount is too small, and every donation goes toward keeping those bowls full.

🐾 Donate through Venmo:

Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing this post helps us tremendously!

Thank you for helping us keep the tails wagging and the bellies full! 🐾❤️

🐾❤️ Rocky & Robin Update — Living Their Best Lives! ❤️🐾

Just look at these two! 🥹💕

We received the sweetest update from Rocky and Robin’s new mom, and these two are absolutely LOVING life in their forever home!

They now have free rein of the entire house, and apparently the hallway has become their personal racetrack! 😂🐈‍⬛💨

Their days consist of chasing each other up and down the hallway, stopping for some love, hugs, and snuggles, then heading to the windows to watch the birds. 🐦❤️

And then? Right back to chasing each other again!

These two bonded siblings are clearly making themselves right at home, and we couldn’t be happier!

This is why we love seeing bonded pairs adopted together. They have each other, a wonderful new mom, and an entire house to explore.

Happy tails, Rocky and Robin! You two hit the jackpot! 🏡❤️

💜 Smokey & Kona Update — Our Boys Are Blossoming! 🐾🐈

We have some wonderful updates on Smokey and Kona, two of Helena’s Little Hobbits who recently left our care for their new foster-to-adopt home in Seattle! ❤️

These two boys are making progress every single day, and we couldn’t be happier!

🐾 Smokey is becoming quite the brave little guy! He’s eating great, spending time lounging on the ottoman at the foot of the bed, and keeping a close eye on his new foster mom. Best of all, he hasn’t even hissed at her today!

🐾 Kona has been a little more cautious, spending much of his time hiding under the bed. But guess what? Under the cover of darkness, someone discovered the toy box! 😂 Kona has officially emerged to do a little nighttime exploring!

Both boys are eating, drinking, and using their litter boxes beautifully. Their foster mom is hopeful they’ll be ready to start exploring more of the house this weekend.

We absolutely LOVE getting updates like these! 💜

These boys came to us through Helena’s Little Hobbits, and we’re so thankful we could be part of their journey toward finding a loving forever home. Rescue truly takes a village, and watching animals we’ve helped care for begin to blossom in a new environment makes it all worthwhile.

This is exactly why we encourage giving rescue animals time to decompress. Every animal adjusts at their own pace. Some are brave right away, while others need a little extra time to feel safe.

A huge thank you to their foster-to-adopt family for giving these sweet boys the patience, love, and space they need to blossom.

Keep going, Smokey and Kona! We’re all cheering you on! 🥹❤️

🐐📢 ATTENTION NEIGHBORS… MISS BUTTERCUP HAS AN ANNOUNCEMENT! 🤣❤️

Apparently, Miss Buttercup, our Mini Nubian, is in HEAT! 🔥🐐

And for those of you who have never experienced a goat in heat… THEY SCREAM. THEY YELL. AND THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO SHAME! 😂

Buttercup will probably be serenading the entire neighborhood for the next 2–3 days!

I go out to check on her, and she screams at me. I try talking to her, and she yells back. I try petting her, and she turns around and sticks her butt in my face! 🤦‍♀️🤣

Sorry, girlfriend! We’re NOT finding you a boyfriend just yet! We’re giving you a little more time!

But apparently, she has some VERY strong opinions about that decision, and she’s making sure the whole county hears them! 📢🐐

Thank goodness we have amazing neighbors, because living next to us is never boring! 🤣❤️

🎥 Sound ON for Buttercup’s official complaint to management!

🐾❤️ THIS is why we take the time to train our livestock guardian dogs! 🐓🦆

Thunder is estimated to be just 8 months old, and he’s spent a few hours each of the last several nights with approximately 80 feathered friends without any issues! ❤️

We’ve caught plenty of flack for keeping Thunder on a lead while we’re outside doing chores. But THIS is why! We can’t watch him 24/7, and using a lead has taught him that these birds are OURS to protect, NOT to chase or eat!

Now he naps while chickens and ducks peck around him, sometimes just inches away. No chasing, no aggression. Just a puppy learning his job! 🥰

The birds do get a little startled when Thunder comes in or moves too quickly, but that’s okay! They’re all still learning each other and building trust.

This didn’t happen overnight. It took patience, consistency, and training! He’s still young, and we’re continuing to supervise and teach him.

And before the mud and dirty water comments start 😂… They had fresh water 20 minutes before this video, and Snohomish County has been getting plenty of rain! 🌧️ Welcome to real farm life!

So proud of our Thunder! 🐾❤️
