In the lower level of the Carnegie Community Arts Center lies The International Paranormal Museum and Research Center. We are an organization dedicated to all aspects of the paranormal, and have been investigating phenomena across the country and all over the world for almost 15 years! We've collected artifacts and unique items in our travels, and show case them here, as well as rotating artifacts on loan from other's collections! We also have an extensive library for you to browse while your are here, with books covering subjects of all things unusual.

Well It looks like the cat is out of the bag!! 🐈‍⬛👜 THE MUSEUM WILL BE RETURNING IN 2027!!! 👻🎃💀🎉🫈🫈🛸👽🎈🥳

Big thank you to Chris Harris and the Commonwealth Journal for the announcement, and an even bigger thank you to all of you that helped make this happen. We couldn’t have ever existed, much less resurrected, without having some of the most amazing supporters out there. And I especially want to mention the deepest bow of appreciation, to Mr. Chris George, and Applied Behavioral Advancements, LLC, our new home!!!!

We are working on some renovations to the space, (a BIGGER footprint than the last spot), and dreaming up some new displays, new offerings, and new experiences, all hopefully with the same kitschy charm we’ve always brought you.

Stay tuned for more information and surprises coming in the next few months, and please remember to STAY WEIRD out there!!!!

Would you like to be a part of Somerset’s one and only paranormal comic book convention?!

We are looking for 40 to 50 volunteers to help out with our festivities on October 10th & 11th, 2026, at The Center for Rural Development.

Each volunteer shift will be 3 hours. Volunteers will receive general admission to the convention and a special Cumberland Con volunteer T-shirt on the day of the event.

Charles Romans

Charles Romans is an award-winning journalist, author, cryptozoologist, paranormal investigator, and researcher. Romans host the podcasts Shadows of Legend, as well as A Walk Through Shadows, and does public speaking covering a wide range of subjects, from the strange and paranormal to cryptids and pop culture. Taking an interactive approach, he helps witnesses share their stories while presenting information in the clearest manner possible, allowing listeners and readers to decide for themselves what to believe.

Our cosplay contests will be held at 2 PM on both days of Cumberland Con 2026!!!

Sign-ups will be available in the lobby on the day of the event, or you can pre-register ahead of time. Pre-registration will be available soon and will allow you to submit pictures of your cosplay to be displayed on the screen as you walk across the stage!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

- Original artwork only
- Size: Flexible (standard paper sizes accepted: 8.5x11, 11x14, 11x17)
- Physical artwork must be brought to Cumberland Con on October 11th for the award ceremony

HOW TO ENTER:
