🌟 Middle School Self-Care Day Recap! 🌟
Last week, our middle schoolers took a well-deserved break to pause, reset, and focus on their well-being during our school-wide Self-Care Day!
"Taking care of yourself isn't a luxury; it's a necessity. You can't pour from an empty cup."
It’s so important for students to learn early on that taking care of their mental, physical, and emotional health is key to thriving both inside and outside the classroom. Self-care helps boost focus, manage stress, build resilience, and remind us all to make time for joy!
Our students had an amazing time exploring different ways to recharge across a huge variety of hands-on activities, including:
🧘 Mind & Body: Yoga, stretching & mobility, and relaxing outdoor walks
🎨 Creative Crafts: Mandala ornaments, bracelet making, and boondoggle keychains
🎮 Games & Fun: Esports, sports trivia, and classic board games
🏀 Active Play: Basketball and high-energy dancing..and so much more!
A huge thank you to all of our incredible staff, volunteers, and students for making this day such a refreshing success.
Let's carry this self-care mindset into the rest of the school year! 💙
