GFC was proud to participate in the third and final convening of the Lancet Global Health Commission on People-Centered Care for Universal Health Coverage in Berlin, bringing commissioners together to advance the Commission’s work.
GFC Founder and Executive Director Carolyn Taylor serves as a Commissioner and leads Work Group 6, the Lived Experience Advisory Forum (LEAF), focused on ensuring that the knowledge, perspectives, and priorities of people with lived experience (PWLE) meaningfully shape the Commission’s recommendations.
A central message: People-centered care requires more than listening. It requires sharing power, recognizing lived experience as essential knowledge, and ensuring people and communities have genuine influence over the decisions that shape their health and care.
We look forward to bringing this important work to completion and advancing more equitable, responsive, and people-centered health systems.
