Convention of States Illinois We're actively working to call an Article V convention and restore self-governance in America. Please like, share, and visit often!

We are a non-partisan, grassroots organization working to harness the Article V authority of the General Assembly to limit the scope & power of the federal government, and impose term limits & fiscal restraints on its officials. The Convention of States Illinois page is operated by Convention of States Action, 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization committed to promoting legislation that calls for a Convention of States under Article V of the United States Constitution.

Federal staffers need term limits, too. Lifetime politicians and unelected bureaucrats have too much power. The Convention of States Resolution fixes that by calling for an amending convention on term limits, fiscal restraints, and limits on federal power & jurisdiction. You're on a 15-hour flight. Which seat are you picking?
It's long past time to put an actual sell-by date on lifetime politicians who have long since transformed from representatives of the people to self-appointed arbiters of law and representative government.
Let's chart a new course. An Article V convention will address term limits for federal officials, including members of Congress who see elected office not as temporary service to the republic, but as a lifetime sinecure. Sign the petition below, and let's get to work.

Great Event with both old leaders and volunteers involved for many years, and patriots searching for something to get involved in. They found Convention of states and have seen what we older volunteers have seen.

Half dozen in the room have been been involved for less then two month. Like some of us became leaders from the start. Two patriots only read some of the information on the web, Just signed our petition, and received the invitation. The saw the foundation of a grass roots army in Illinois.

The summer of event have come to a close, ending with a bang of three events happening last weekend. In the last few weeks we have gathered hundreds of petitions in South and North of Illinois. So this was a celebration of this and discussion of next year efforts.
