Seasonal Bike Rack Removal Scheduled for October 30

As winter approaches, the City of Steamboat Springs will remove seasonal bike racks along the Lincoln Avenue corridor and at city parks and municipal buildings to accommodate winter snow removal operations.

Bike racks scheduled for removal will be marked with signs this week. Please remove your bike and any personal locks or belongings from these racks by Thursday, October 29. Bike racks will be removed on Friday, October 30, and any bikes left behind will be considered abandoned and turned over to the Steamboat Springs Police Department.

Thank you for helping the city prepare for winter operations and keeping public spaces ready for the season ahead!

Yesterday was a great day to walk, roll and ride! Thanks to everyone who joined us for National Walk & Roll to School Day and helped make getting to school an adventure.

We had a great time connecting with students, sharing safe walking and riding tips, handing out some fun swag and celebrating active ways to get around Steamboat.

Thanks to our partners at Routt County Riders, Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue, Parks & Recreation and the Steamboat Springs School District for helping make the day happen! Here we are at the high school during lunch.

We’ll see you out on the trail—keep walking, rolling and riding safely! 💚💙
