A huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers! 💙

This week, Juanita Little-Lyons represented the Virginia Association of Notaries at the Virginia Land Title Association (VLTA) Convention in Roanoke, and she did a fantastic job! Rose Hall, who was attending the convention, kindly lent a hand at our booth between sessions.

Our booth was buzzing all day on Wednesday! Visitors were welcomed with warm smiles and invited to spin the wheel and answer Virginia notary trivia questions. Everyone walked away a winner, either with a sweet treat or some new notary knowledge! 🎡🍫

We were also thrilled to offer a coffee lover's gift basket giveaway, generously donated by Rose. ☕ Thank you, Rose, for your kindness and generosity!

🏆 And a very special congratulations to Rose Hall, who received the 2026 Ronald Donn Award from the VLTA at this year's convention, presented in recognition of her commitment to education and professionalism. Rose is a title agent who has worked incredibly hard to get where she is, and this honor is so well deserved. We are proud of you, Rose!

Juanita and Rose, thank you for your time, energy, and dedication. You truly embody our mission to Educate, Empower, and Support Virginia notaries. 💙

📋 Did you know Virginia has two types of notary commissions?

Whether you’re just starting out or leveling up, here’s what every Virginia notary should know: a Traditional Notary Public handles in-person, pen-and-paper notarizations, while an Electronic Notary Public ✍️💻 has the same authority but performs notarizations electronically.

One catch — you must hold a traditional commission before you can become an eNotary.

✅ Want to go electronic? Step 1 is always getting your traditional commission first.

Start traditional. Go electronic. Stay informed. 📌 That’s the VAN way.
