On Wednesday 10/28/2026 at 5:23 pm, the Stow Police Department responded to 4165 Vira Rd. to assist a landlord with a tenant related matter. While on scene with the landlord, family members of the resident arrived concerned about their loved one who they could not get ahold of at that address. Upon checking the home, officers located a female deceased from gunshot wounds.

This case is being investigated as a homicide.

Stow detectives are currently investigating and are being assisted by the Summit County Medical Examiner and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
The identity of the victim is being held at this time.

Anyone with information that would be helpful to the case is asked to contact the Stow Police Department Detective Bureau at (330) 689-5770.

A female Poodle mix was found on Berkshire Road near Thames Circle in Stow.
